ABOUT THE POSITION: IREC is in search of an ambitious, self-motivated, and self-directed Program Engineer to support IREC’s state and national engagement and leadership on distributed energy resource policies. This position will provide support for IREC’s Regulatory Program, with direction from IREC’s Chief Regulatory Engineer and reporting to IREC’s Regulatory Vice President, and will interface with IREC’s regulatory team of attorneys, as well as IREC’s Management Team. IREC is seeking an electrical engineer who is familiar with electric distribution and transmission system design and engineering, distributed energy resources (DER) design and engineering, and who is able to provide technical expertise to support IREC’s Regulatory Program. These efforts support IREC’s mission to enable significantly higher penetrations of DERs, increase consumer access to clean energy, and expedite the transition to a more modern, low-carbon electricity grid. IREC’s regulatory engagement is focused on achieving the following objectives: *Support IREC’s vision of a 100% clean energy future. *Enable the widespread deployment of distributed clean energy resources such that they provide 10% of U.S. electricity by 2030 and 25% of electricity by 2050. *Advance scalable strategies to integrate significantly higher amounts of distributed clean energy (i.e., renewable energy, energy storage, electrification of transportation and buildings, and other technologies) into the grid safely, reliably, and affordably. The Program Engineer will excel at distribution engineering technical matters, be conversant in transmission engineering technical issues, be familiar with regulatory and policy matters impacting distributed generation, and be adept at writing and communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences, particularly policy audiences. This position will entail coordination with diverse partners, tracking multiple regulatory issues, project management, and execution of deliverables in a timely and efficient manner. The Program Engineer will also contribute thought-leadership and insight on the technical aspects of regulatory policies that will help remove barriers to DER deployment and support the implementation of IREC’s regulatory strategy. Job Description The Solar Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Washington, DC based Program Manager to achieve aggressive goals to support increased national solar deployment. The Program Manager will provide technical assistance to local governments pursuing designation under the U.S. Department of Energy-funded SolSmart program (solsmart.org). He/she will work as part of a small, dynamic team to help communities reduce local barriers to the adoption of solar energy. They will focus on permitting and inspection, planning and zoning, government operations, community engagement, and market development as well as other federal, state, and local solar topics. The Program Manager will also work with a broad coalition of other stakeholders, demonstrating thought leadership at both the strategic and tactical levels. The Program Manager will occasionally perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of a small and dynamic national nonprofit organization.  Key Responsibilities

• Assist local governments in identifying and implementing programs and practices to build robust local solar markets;

Our solar installers are integral members of our installation teams who work in a team environment installing solar arrays at residential and commercial customer’s homes and/or business. Safe work practices and excellent communication skills are essential. Responsibilities:

Layout assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware

Assist with the electrical wiring of all energy products

Pull materials for each installation job

Requirements

Roof work, general construction, or carpentry experience required
Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs; and performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
OSHA certification desirable – Conscientious about safety, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management
Experience using basic hand and power tools
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality end-product possible is required
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have excellent customer service skills
Reliability and an excellent, positive attitude are essential

SALT has been servicing the Keys for over 28 years. This position is site specific, but on-going opportunities will be available for a proven leader. YOU MUST SEND RESUME/ QUALIFICATIONS to be considered for this position. We are a well-established, Florida Keys-based company that specializes in Residential and Commercial Solar installations in South Florida, the Bahamas, and Caribbean. This position is a scheduled for 9 months, with 5 or more on site. The island is a privately-managed island in the Southern Abacos, hosting cruise ships guests. The site supervisor’s responsibilities at this site include: • Oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards. • Establishing an understanding of the site facilities and layout, transport logistics, establish staffing needs, preparing the site, carefully planning the work to be done and installing temporary offices for site staff. • As the client has a strong emphasis on using the local, Bahamian labor where appropriate, supervisor will need to coordinate with local subcontractors for various sub-tasks, particularly the civil work. • Monitor progress, oversee delivery of materials and arrange for safe storage. • Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity with QA/QC specifications and requirements, Industry Codes, Standards and Procedures, and Client requirements. 
 • Advise the Project Manager in determining the need and procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specific times in order to conform to the workloads, plans and schedules. 
 • Ensure accurate and timely collection and recording of quality/work progress (photos, daily logs, etc.). Upload to project portal for Client access. • Enforce Client’s expectations of work ethics, behavior, and rules. Required Skills: • Competence and knowledgeable in Construction and supervision thereof, including use of CMP software. 
 • Knowledgeable of civil, electrical, and structural codes and other associated codes used in the project.
 • Able to control a multi‐national workforce in a dynamic situation.
